Everything you need to be a good neighbour

HelloStreet combines a neighbourhood scan, letters to every address, a project page for neighbours, an AI assistant and inbox, a register of complaints and commitments, insights per street and per week, and a participation report, in one place per project.

Early accessWe are starting with a small group of organisations. Book a demo to request a place.

A project manager shows a neighbour the project map on a tablet, at her garden gate next to the site.

HelloStreet Neighbourhood Scan

Draw the zone around your project and HelloStreet shows who lives and works there, what is already going on nearby and where the sensitive points are, before you say a word in public.

You draw the zone as a radius around a site or as a corridor along a route. The scan lists the addresses in that zone and brings together what is publicly known: permit applications and planned works nearby, the history of the site, schools, care homes and other sensitive places, and signals from local news and council agendas.

It ends with an estimate of how sensitive the project is likely to be, the reasons behind that estimate and a first communication plan per phase.

What you get

  • Every address in the zone, including people without an email address
  • Other works and applications nearby, so neighbours do not face two surprises
  • The history of the site and earlier objections, in one place
  • A first communication plan per phase, ready to adjust

For whom: Developers, cities and anyone preparing a project that neighbours will notice.

Reach and letters

HelloStreet prepares a letter with a personal QR code for every address in the zone or along the route, and plans the other channels per group: email, app notifications, an information evening or a home visit.

You choose who to reach: all addresses in the zone, direct neighbours, local businesses, associations, schools and local press. For each group HelloStreet suggests the channels that fit.

Messages are written in plain language. The letter links to the project page through the QR code, so a neighbour can follow the project in a few seconds without creating an account.

What you get

  • A letter for every address, prepared in HelloStreet and delivered with a local postal partner, also for neighbours who are not online
  • Groups and channels per phase in one communication plan
  • Plain-language messages, drafted for you and approved by you
  • Every message sent is kept in the project log

For whom: Teams that need to reach everyone around a project, not only the people who already follow it online.

Project page for neighbours

Each project gets a clear page in plain language: what is planned, what it means for your street, what happens next and how to respond. Neighbours follow it in three steps and can report something with a place on the map.

The page shows the plans, the key figures, the timeline with the next steps and the questions people ask most. A neighbour enters their street and sees what the project means there: traffic, construction routes, shade, a footpath.

Following takes three steps and works by email or app notification. Reacting is open to everyone: a question, a concern, an idea or something positive, linked to a theme and, if useful, a spot on the map.

For developers, the project page also shows what is still available: homes, parking spaces, retail units. You enter the figures yourself, or they come automatically from Ziggu or your CRM.

What you get

  • One place where neighbours find the current state of the project
  • ‘What does this mean for my street?’ answered per street
  • Questions and reports arrive sorted by theme and place
  • Updates reach every follower when something changes
  • Available homes and parking spaces, with the sales status

For whom: Neighbours, local businesses and associations around your project. You manage it; they read and respond.

Progress and milestones

Give the street something to look forward to. HelloStreet turns site photos into a living project story, with milestones neighbours want to see: the tower crane going up, topping out, the keys.

Site teams take photos and short videos in the site app. HelloStreet AI picks the best images, blurs faces and number plates and writes a caption in plain language. Your team approves.

Announce milestones with a date and the best viewing spot, share them on the day and invite neighbours on site.

What you get

  • Photo and video timeline per project, per phase
  • Then and now, from the same viewpoint
  • Milestone announcements with date and best viewing spot
  • Site visits with registration and safety briefing
  • Share kit: social posts, local press text and a QR poster for the site hoarding

For whom: Developers, contractors and cities who want to show their site, not only announce it.

Site communication and site app

Announce disruption before it happens, and follow up reports while the works run. With the site app, your team announces each phase, logs calls and reports and posts updates with photos, even offline.

For each phase you announce what is coming: deliveries, closures, noisy work, detours. Followers get a notification, the project page shows it, and people without a smartphone get a letter.

On site, you log a call or a visit in seconds, also by voice. Reports from neighbours arrive with a place on the map; when several report the same thing, the site manager gets one signal.

What you get

  • Announcements per phase, per street or per zone
  • Reports with place, photo and status
  • Log calls and visits by voice, even offline
  • One signal when several neighbours report the same thing

For whom: Contractors, site managers and community managers who are on site every day.

Site hoardings and banners

The site hoarding is the largest communication tool a project has. HelloStreet prepares the design with your project details, an image and a QR code to the project page, and gives you a print-ready file for your printer.

You choose a format (panel, banner, fence wrap) and HelloStreet fills the design with the title, a short explanation, an image and a QR code to the project page, in your own house style.

You download a print-ready PDF and send it to your own printer. Every QR code is distinct, so you see how many people reach the project page through the hoarding.

What you get

  • Design in your house style, ready in minutes
  • QR code to the project page, measurable per hoarding
  • Print-ready file in the right size
  • The same message on site, in the letter and on the project page

For whom: Developers, contractors and public bodies who want to use their site hoarding to inform neighbours and passers-by.

AI assistant and inbox AI

Questions from the project page, email, phone calls and home visits come together in one inbox. For each question, HelloStreet drafts a reply from your approved project documents, with the sources. A team member approves it before it is sent.

On the project page, neighbours can ask the assistant a question. It answers only from documents you have approved, your team sees where each answer comes from, and it passes anything it does not know to your team instead of guessing.

In the inbox you see every conversation with the address, the channel and the theme. Phone calls and visits can be logged in a few seconds, also by voice. A good answer can go to the public FAQ, without the name of the person who asked.

What you get

  • All channels in one inbox, sorted by status, channel and theme
  • Draft replies with sources from your own approved documents
  • Nothing is sent without approval by a team member
  • Questions the assistant cannot answer go to a person

For whom: Project managers and community managers who answer neighbours and want to keep answers consistent.

Log, complaints and commitments

Every contact with the neighbourhood is logged, and every promise becomes a numbered commitment with an owner and a status. So nothing that was said at a kitchen table gets lost when the project changes hands.

Complaints and reports are kept in one register with the date, place, theme and how they were handled. Commitments such as ‘the driveway will be on Lindenlaan’ or ‘a condition survey before demolition’ each get a number and a status: under study, agreed, included in the plan.

What you get

  • One register of complaints and reports, with date, place and follow-up
  • Numbered commitments with an owner and a status
  • A complete record when the team or the contractor changes
  • The basis for the participation report

For whom: Organisations that work with several people, contractors or partners on one project.

Insights AI

HelloStreet groups every question and reaction by theme, street and week, so you see what is going on in the neighbourhood before it becomes a petition. Every week you get a short briefing with suggested actions.

A map shows where reactions come from and whether they are positive, neutral or concerned. Themes such as parking, traffic or shade are tracked over time, together with the public sources you added.

You can ask questions of your own neighbourhood data in plain language, such as ‘what worries Molenstraat?’, and get an answer with the reactions it is based on.

What you get

  • Themes and sentiment per street and per week
  • A weekly briefing with what changed and what to do next
  • Questions in plain language, answered with sources
  • Early warning when a theme suddenly grows

For whom: Project leaders and management who need to know where the project stands with the neighbourhood.

Consultations

Polls, surveys, map comments, ideas and a satisfaction pulse, with results per street and per theme.

Put a design or a choice on the project page and in the app. Residents respond with a place on the map, choose between options or share an idea. You see the results per street and per theme, and they go straight into the report.

What you get

  • Surveys and polls in the resident's language
  • Comments and ideas on the map
  • Satisfaction pulse per phase
  • Results per street, per theme and per group

For whom: Cities, planning teams and developers who want to put choices to people, not only announce them.

Participation report AI

At the push of a button, HelloStreet turns the log into a participation report: who you reached, what you heard, what you changed as a result, your commitments and what is still open. Ready to add to a permit application or to share with the council.

The report follows a fixed structure: summary, reach, results per street, what we heard, ‘you said, we did’, commitments, open points and recommendations. Every statement links back to the reactions and decisions it is based on.

What you get

  • A complete report from the log, without weeks of copying and pasting
  • ‘You said, we did’ with a reference to each reaction
  • Commitments and open points stated honestly
  • Suitable as an annex to a permit application

For whom: Developers and public bodies who must show how they involved the neighbourhood.

Press releases and local media

Local media reach as many neighbours as your letter. HelloStreet drafts a press release from your project and your log, keeps your list of local media and shows what appears about your project.

For a milestone, an information evening or an important decision, HelloStreet AI drafts a press release in plain language, with the facts from your approved documents. Your team edits and approves it.

You keep a list of local newspapers, radio, city magazines and community newsletters, and see who received each release. What gets published flows into the insights and the report.

What you get

  • Press release drafted for you, approved by you
  • List of local media per project or region
  • The same key facts in the letter, the project page and the press
  • Published articles in the log and the report

For whom: Developers, contractors, cities and energy projects who want to tell their own story before the newspaper does.

From neighbour to buyer

Neighbours who like the project can say they might want to live or park there. With their consent, HelloStreet passes them on to your sales team, so local interest is not lost between communication and sales.

On the project page, a neighbour can tick that they might want to live in the project or rent a parking space. Only people who give explicit consent are passed on, and they can withdraw that consent at any time.

What you get

  • Local interest captured from the first letter onwards
  • Only with explicit consent, which can be withdrawn
  • Passed on to your sales team or CRM

For whom: Residential developers who sell homes, parking spaces or commercial units in the project.

Example

I might want to live in this project myself.

Only with your consent: we pass on your details to the sales team.

What you get

  • Integrations with CRM, document management and planning
  • API for your own applications
  • Connection to your own AI tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini (via MCP)

Questions and answers

Where does the neighbourhood scan get its information?

From public sources such as permit registers, council agendas and local news, combined with the zone you draw. The exact sources differ per country and municipality; the scan always shows where each item comes from.

Who prints and sends the letters?

You prepare the letter in HelloStreet. Printing and delivery happen with a local postal partner; those costs are charged separately. You get the rate on quotation. You can also print and deliver the letters yourself.

Do neighbours need an account?

No. They can read the project page without an account. To follow the project they only leave an email address or turn on notifications.

Can the project page show what is still for sale?

Yes. You enter the figures yourself, or you connect them to Ziggu or your CRM, also through your own AI tools. Neighbours see at once whether anything is still available, and anyone interested goes to your sales team with their consent.

Can we show photos of people on site?

Yes, with care. HelloStreet AI blurs faces and number plates before anything is published, and your team approves every post. For site visits, visitors give consent when they register.

Does the site app work without a signal?

Yes. What you record on site is stored and sent as soon as you have a signal again.

Do you print the hoardings too?

No. HelloStreet creates the print-ready file; you send it to your own printer or agency.

Does the AI answer neighbours on its own?

On the project page, the assistant answers only from documents your team has approved. The resident gets the answer; your team sees which source it is based on. A source is shown to residents only when it is public information. Anything else goes to your team. Replies in the inbox are always proposals that a team member approves.

Is the participation report accepted by the permit authority?

What a permit authority expects differs per country, region and project. The report brings together the facts that are usually asked for: who was reached, what was heard and what changed. Check with the authority what they need for your project.

Does HelloStreet send the press releases itself?

You send them from HelloStreet to your own media list, after your team approves them. Nothing goes out without someone reading it first.
